Snakes

In and around the Tri State Area there are over 130 different snakes found in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. In the United States an estimated 7,000 to 8,000 people are bitten by venomous snakes, with about five deaths per year. So encounters with snakes, especially venomous ones, is very small, but on occasions snakes will end up in populated areas and need to be relocated to the wild. In Texas alone, there are four venomous snakes, the coral snake, the copperhead, the cottonmouth water moccasin and the rattlesnake. The rattlesnake tops the list that people fear the most. There are of course the non-venomous snakes such as the Garter snake, Texas Brown snake, Rat snake, Coach Whip, Hog Nose and the very abundant Bull snake. Regardless of the species of snake we do not want them in our place of business, our house, yard or garden.
